After installing the Pampered Partner program on the laptop, users can restore the backup by navigating to Utilities and selecting Restore from Backup. Ok so this may be a stupid question, but I am not very computer saavy (sp?). I just bought a laptop for my pampered partner work, but now how do I get my info from my desktop to my laptop. I already installed the PP program I just don't know how to get everything over. Please help!!

File TransferAll you have to do is backup your Pampered Partner program to some sort of storage device (disk, CD, memory stick) and then open Pampered Partner on your laptop and go to Utilities, then Restore from Backup. You will have to probably hit browse and find the drive that has the backed up copy from your old program.

Hope this helps! I changed over to a laptop after National Conference in July.

If you have a router, you can transfer files from your desktop to your laptop by the following:Connect both computers to the router with ethernet cables.Go to Start>Run and type in CMD (for XP) or press the Windows key + R and type in CMD (for Vista). At the DOS prompt, type: ipconfig /allOn the desktop, write down the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. On the laptop, write down the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. If the IP addresses are different, they should be in the same subnet. On the desktop, open My Computer and navigate to the folder where your PP data file is located.Right-click on the folder and select Sharing and Security.Click on the Sharing tab and click the radio button that says "Share this folder".Click on OK.On the laptop, click Start>Run and type \\Desktop_IP_address (replace Desktop_IP_address with the IP address of your desktop)If your desktop's IP address was 192.168.1.100, you would type \\192.168.1.100 at the Run prompt.A window should open displaying the shared folder.Copy your PP data file to the laptop. The next time you start up PP on the laptop, it will prompt you for the location of the data file. Navigate to the location you copied the file to and select it. It should open normally.
